![]() ![]() A Note to Parents and TeachersThis has been prepared as a courtesy by Piser's. It has been written to explain death and Jewish funerals in the simplest terms possible. We recommend that you take a few minutes to read this material and discuss it with your child. You may find specific passages you wish to read directly to your child. Because this material is written for children spanning a wide range in age, some sections may be difficult for younger children to comprehend. Although older children may be able to read this themselves, your direct involvement in its presentation may provide them with much needed comfort. For further assistance in talking to your children please consult your Rabbi or your Piser funeral director. You can find additional help in the booklet, How to Explain Death to Children, by Rabbi Earl A. Grollman, D.D. These booklets are available at your Piser chapels.
